Paris is a city with so much to see and do that you can spend weeks there without ever visiting all of its museums, galleries, parks and monuments. In fact, it’s pretty easy to explore the city with just a few days in Paris. Here are some of the highlights:
The Louvre is the largest art museum in the world, with over 35,000 paintings and sculptures on display. It’s located on the banks of the Seine River and was built by King Louis XIV.
The museum includes works by some of history’s most famous painters like da Vinci, Rembrandt, and Picasso to name a few (and even more!). The collection also showcases some amazing sculptures from ancient Greek times through today’s modern art movements like Cubism or Abstract Expressionism.
One of the best ways to see Paris is by foot. It’s a city that was built on a grid system, so walking tours are easy to follow and you can get around quickly. If you’re interested in seeing more of the city’s history, take an evening walking tour that takes place at night (or during early morning hours), when there aren’t as many tourists around. You’ll learn about some of these sites while they’re still illuminated with light from streetlamps or candles.
If you want something more interactive than just listening in on someone else telling their story about what happened when they visited Paris last year, try taking one of our guided tours! We offer walking tours around Louvre Museum as well as private transportation options for groups over 15 people who want hands-on experience learning about art history without having to lug heavy books around every day
The Notre Dame Cathedral is a Gothic church built on the Île de la Cité. It was commissioned by King Louis IX in 1163 as an expression of his devotion to Christianity and as a means of unifying French people after their defeat by the English at Crécy in 1346. The cathedral was completed in 1250, but its construction was interrupted several times due to lack of funds or skilled workers.
The building has been remodeled many times since then, most recently during renovations that began in 2012 under architect Jean Nouvel; it will be open to visitors until September 2021 (the date when this article was written).
The Eiffel Tower is the most visited monument in Paris. It was built for the World’s Fair in 1889 and opened to the public in March 1889. The tower’s height of 324 meters (1,063 feet) makes it the tallest structure in Paris, as well as one of the most-visited paid monuments in the world.
A trip up to this iconic landmark provides a 360-degree view of Paris and its surroundings, as well as some great photo opportunities! You can take an elevator up to reach your destination; alternatively you can climb all 284 steps using stairs that lead directly from Pont Alexandre III bridge on Rue Franklin Roosevelt (near Champs-Élysées), or from Trocadéro Park on Avenue George V (close to Louvre Museum). There are two restaurants at different levels: one on top level which serves food until midnight daily; another lower down where you can get lunch or dinner only during peak hours.
You can shop in the chic boutiques and markets of Paris.
The best places to shop in Paris are:
Versailles Palace is a royal residence in Versailles. It was the official residence of the kings of France from 1682 to 1789, and it’s one of the most famous palaces in the world.
Versailles Palace is also part of UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been listed on their list since 1978. The palace is located 30 miles southwest of Paris, so if you want to travel there during your stay in Paris then you should start planning early!
Take a cruise on the Seine River. You can see Paris from many different angles and get a better idea of what it’s like to live in this amazing city. The boat trip is relaxing, but also informative as you learn about things like how much land there is in Paris, how many bridges there are and how many people live here.
If you only have a few days to visit Paris, there are still plenty of things to do in the city. Not only will you be able to see some of the most beautiful buildings and sculptures in Europe, but also learn about its history and culture through museums or tours. In fact, there are so many interesting places that I would recommend spending at least one full day exploring each one!
You can start by visiting Notre Dame Cathedral which has been standing since 1260 AD (that’s more than 500 years!). It was built after an earthquake destroyed most churches throughout France at that time—including St. Denis Basilica where Pope Urban II preached his famous sermon calling on Christians everywhere to join together against Muslims who had attacked them during their pilgrimage between Jerusalem & Mecca every year since 610 AD (that’s more than 400 years!). The cathedral still stands today because it was built stronger than before; however its interior contains many different styles including Gothic Revival architecture along with Baroque additions from later centuries until today when it still stands tall above us all thanks mostly due our faith in God
If you want to travel and visit different parts of the world, you should consider visiting Paris. It is a great place for tourists because it has so many attractions that are worth seeing such as museums and monuments that can be visited in one day.
