Edinburgh Castle, Scotland

Edinburgh Castle, which is positioned on the Castle Rock, is a historic fortress in Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland. As it has stood for many years on the Castle Rock, it was involved in many conflicts related to Scottish history from Wars of Scottish Independence to Jacobite rising. Edinburgh Castle is owned by the Scottish Ministers and it is administered by Historic Environment Scotland. The castle is the most visited tourist attraction in Scotland and the second in the United Kingdom. In 2019, it attracted over 2.2 million visitors.
