The Brooklyn Bridge is a bridge in New York City, which spans the East river between Manhattan and Brooklyn. At the time of its opening in 1883, it was considered as the longest suspension bridge in the world. It used to be called as the East River Bridge then later, it was renamed as the Brooklyn Bridge in 1915 and it is known as such ever since. It has become a popular tourist attraction and an icon of New York City since its opening. As it is an iconic landmark, many performances, even attacks, are performed on the bridge.
