The Louvre Museum is the biggest art museum in the world. It is located in Paris, along side the Seine that goes through the city. The museum holds a wide range of collections from the pre-historic ages to modern ages. Approximately 35.000 artworks are exhibited in an area of 72.735 square meter. The Louvre was chosen as the most visited art museum in 2017 as a result of its annual number of visitors, which is 8.1 million people.
