Museo Teatrale alla Scala, Milano, Italy

The Museo Teatrale alla Scala is a museum which is mainly dedicated to theatre and history of the opera. It also focuses on Italian theatrical history. The museum was opened in 1913 and exhibits set designs, autographs, musical instruments, costumes, paintings of musicians and actors as well as the ceramic figures of portraying characters. There is also a museum library which is named as The Biblioteca Livia Simoni. The library can be found on the second floor of the museum. About 140,000 works related to theatre history, opera and ballet can be found in the museum’s library.
