The Museum of Edinburgh, Edinburgh

The Museum of Edinburgh is located on the Royal Mile. Formerly known as Huntly House Museum, it houses a large collection which is related to the town’s history, legends and origins. One of the best things about this museum is that, the entrance is free. Also, you can find regular schedules of special exhibitions at the museum in addition to the permanent exhibitions.
